  • Eating Disorders

    If not treated effectively, eating disorders can become long-term problems and, in some cases, can cause death. Many individuals struggle with disordered eating.
    I strive to maintain a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach which does not focus solely on body weight, shape, or size and instead encourage a fulfilling and meaningful life through Intuitive Eating and Joyful Movement.

  • Depression

    Depression often has many impacts on a person’s daily functioning such as persistent sadness, lack of motivation, sleep disturbances, irritability, changes in appetite, and changes in social engagements.
    I strive to give clients attainable goals to improve their life. We will examine depression’s impact within the context of relationships and family systems.

  • Anxiety

    Anxiety can present differently in people from overwhelming worry, to muscle tension, fatigue, digestive issues, restlessness, intrusive thoughts, and even panic symptoms. I work with clients to implement active changes to thoughts and behaviors while also examining anxiety’s impact within the context of relationships and family systems.

Collaborative, Systemic Care

A systemic approach to treatment as a marriage and family therapist (MFT) emphasizes understanding individuals within the broader context of their relationships, families, and social systems.
I strive to work with my clients to utilize their capacity, skills, and resources and give them tasks to do outside of session as they implement behaviors and change thought processes in a way that is meaningful and doable.
